I have loved taking photographs ever since I was a child. My earliest memories of photography are of those little Kodak disposable cameras, cheap film cameras and my brother's Polaroid. I remember the feeling of excitement when we got the films developed, to see these moments of life frozen in time and to hold the memories in my hands.

When I was sixteen I borrowed an SLR film camera from my Dad and studied in the dark room at college. Since then I feel as though I have been on an incredible journey. Every time I go out with my camera I discover something new about light, connecting with my subjects and conveying mood and emotion in my images. I love to tell stories through my photos, to find beauty in unexpected places and share my vision of the world with others.

My work as a portrait and wedding photographer leads me to connect on such a personal level with so many people. When shooting a wedding it feels like an honour to be a part of such a meaningful day in the lives of two people, and their family and friends. When I send them their images and they see for the first time the moments they had experienced during a whirlwind of emotion, it reminds me every time of that childhood feeling, of turning fleeting moments into something tangible and immortal. This is the magic of photography.
